Want to go on Study Abroad? Learn how!

You’re invited to stop by the International Center lobby during the first-ever Study Abroad Week!

From 11:00 am to 2:00 pm each day this week (January 25-29) you can explore program options, ask questions, and talk with experts from around campus.  The lobby will be filled with fun and informative displays that will encourage you to think about making study abroad a part of your degree program.

Several interactive events will also be featured such as passport processing by the East Lansing Post Office, virtual postcards, returnee videos, and a raffle.  Information tables will be staffed throughout the week by Financial Aid, Career Services, area studies centers (African, Asian, European and Russian, Latin American and the Caribbean, and Canadian), Multicultural Students Abroad, the Japan Center for Michigan Universities, the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities, travel agencies (Passageways and Tower), the MSUFCU, and many academic colleges (Ag and Natural Resources, Arts & Letters, Communication Arts, Engineering, James Madison, Natural Science, and Social Science).

Be sure to visit our Webpage to see a detailed schedule of events for the week and to print out a coupon you can redeem for a free gift!

AT MSU, it’s not a question of if you’ll study abroad, but when!

Help Haiti with James Madison College

Help us help Haiti.

Monday - Friday, 1-5 p.m.
(JAN. 25-29)

JMC Student Senate Office, 3rd Floor Case Hall

As James Madison students, you've all heard about the tragic earthquake that struck Haiti almost two weeks ago. Every little bit helps the Haitian people to get back on their feet. Help us by raising awareness and making a donation. JMC Student Senate will be selling red ribbons for students to wear throughout the week, all by donation. All proceeds will benefit Doctors Without Borders. an international medical humanitarian organization working in the Haiti relief efforts. It only takes a few seconds to stop by between classes or meetings with professors. Please help us to help the Haitian people in their time of need!

#helphaiti

If you haven't seen the news or live under a rock...
There was a terrible earthquake that struck Haiti near the capital yesterday in Port au Prince and the damage and devastation is intense.

At this point, the citizens of Haiti can use all the help they can get!
If you're interested in donating, you can do so online at one of the websites below!
Yele
WorldVision
UNICEF
You can also donate via text!
Give via phone - text "HAITI" to "90999" to give $10 directly to Red Cross for disaster relief.

I know money is tight for us all right now but many of us have a few dollars we can spare to help during this tragedy.
AAC is not just about MSU, but about making an international impact.

Much Love,
AAC

Lend A Helping Hand

I know that we often get wrapped up in all of the things we have to do with school, jobs, organizations and life in general but, do not forget, there are those out there who could use your help.

With the weather being dangerously cold, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities out there to do your part!
The Salvation Army and Goodwill are just two options in Lansing!

There are also churches and soup kitchens all over where you can donate clothing, money, and time to help the homeless make it through this winter.

Be on the lookout for community service opportunities this semester with AAC!
Spread the love!
